I already pointed out this issue over two months ago in
https://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/xorg-devel/2015-December/048215.html
. Seems like there's been plenty of time to address it.

FWIW, being able to test your series with the modesetting driver would
definitely make me much more comfortable about it.
