I just tried with weston from git, along with the xserver from git as 
well with the patch applied and I have the same problem as with mutter, 
ie some menu will work but others won't (those closer to the right end 
of the window), and other mouse events won't work anymore, e.g.. I 
cannot move the window.

Does it work for you? Am I alone seeing this with the patch applied, 
this is weird... For the record, I'm trying with gtk apps using the x11 
backend,

I'll try to investigate further on Monday hopefully :-)
