[pull server-1.14] Build/test fixes

Hi Matt,

We're carrying these changes in debian's xserver to fix a couple build
issues.

The following changes since commit 9acb64f54ee9dd2fe41afda159b919280850ad8e:

  bump version from 1.14.2.902 to 1.14.3 (2013-09-12 21:17:40 -0600)

are available in the git repository at:
