Fastest way to capture a 4K resolution virtual X session?

I need to capture and stream a 4K X session in realtime, but I don't have a
4K video card. I tried using various headless X servers, but they all
seemed to have excruciatingly slow capture rates even on a Intel Core-I7
server.

Are there any pointers someone can provide on fast ways to capture an X
session (or failing that, an HTML5 browser session)? If I need to look at a
hardware solution, what hardware should I look at?
