This happens to be true at the moment.  It might be nice if Xorg could
run the same rootless code as the others, when it's nested under some
other window system.  Right now I'm pretty sure xwayland's root window
has actual storage...

Even as it is, varying DIX ABI means you can't build xquartz and xvfb in
the same pass.
