[PULL xf86-input-vmmouse] accumulated fixes

Just a bunch of fixes I had in my repo here that needed commiting. And
Gaetan's recent udev dir change.

The following changes since commit eb23b149c176d1c735b4c658b33ce6686e47618b:

  "make dist" fails when workstation has no udev package (2013-09-24 15:56:28 -0400)
