[BUG] X.Org X Server 1.12.99.903 segfaults on linux 3.5

Xorg (full build of the git current git tree) running on a linux 3.5 PC with intel 915GM graphics
segfaults reliably during server shutdown, see Bug 52440. <https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=52440>
