I am not sure what Trevor had in mind, there was a thread where we
discuss some future improvement like adding a man page or better help.
This would require configuring and installing the script in bindir and
the rename would provide some namespace protection.

If renaming now is too inconvenient, we can wait until the
autoconfiscation of util/modular and create a link so that the old name
in the module root dir is still available. It will save the user from
configuring and "building" util/modular before starting a build.

Maybe Peter has a better explanation as he made the suggestion.
