OMG yes please, at least for xserver and perhaps libX11. I can't even
keep a three year old dual-core saturated when building xserver.
If you mean going back to a monolithic build of all of xorg, though, no.
Something like jhbuild or a distro's build daemons should have enough
dependency information to build and install multiple X.Org components in
parallel, if that's what you want.
