Can we please not do that?  I think udev reading usb.ids is a
misfeature...  If it's like pci.ids then there's no stability guarantee
for the names, so if you match against that then your xorg.conf can stop
working at random, plus it doesn't necessarily live on the root
filesystem so it might not be there at all when the udev rule runs.
