Oh, I didn't even think to check the fd.o bugzilla; we came across this
bug internally and did not know that it has already been reported (and
indeed a similar patch provided.)

In either case, I think a fix for this should be committed, unless we
want something more generic (i.e. in _CallCallbacks as Erkki mentioned?)
