Yes, I can follow a similar plan. The release of Xorg with patched
xlib/xproto should be the good signal to submit updates do
xkeyboard-config, isn't it ?
In a similar way, to be able to use dead letters defined with
bepo layout, I need to use « export GTK_IM_MODULE=xim » in a Gnome
environment, else I use the Gnome version of xlib definitions, outdated
and not updated accordingly from Xorg's version (despite a bug
report...).
