Also, just -errwarn works, and thats what the XORG_CWARNFLAGS macro sticks
in STRICT_CFLAGS for the Sun compiler, so maybe:
AC_REQUIRE([XORG_CWARNFLAGS])
[...]

CFLAGS="$CFLAGS -Werror=unknown-attributes"
else
CFLAGS="$CFLAGS $STRICT_CFLAGS"
