Just a reminder for those reading this thread.

Should that information (the oldest server a driver wishes to support)
become available,
it should be coded in configure.ac:

        PKG_CHECK_MODULES(XORG, [xorg-server >= 1.0.99.901 ...)

with the appropriate rationale in the commit text.
