[PULL] xwin build fix and misc other

xwin compilation fix, two old patches scooped up from months ago, and two
fixes as a fallout from the ABI 12 masked valuator stuff. Oh, and one
compiler fix.

The following changes since commit 965e709f2b0b17f1e59e5aeb5e7717fede51ef97:

  XQuartz: Build-fixes for XQuartz for recent input API changes (2010-11-12 11:49:49 +1000)
