I don't know how to write kernel drivers. My goal was to just get the hyperpen
driver to work.

Thanks. I'll wait until you push your changes. Then I pull those changes and
apply my segfault fix. As soon as my segfault fix works with your latest
changes, I'll publish it to the mailing list.
Most probably this would be my last contribution for the hyperpen driver, as my
device failed again. Something is broken with the pen. I could order a new pen
for about 7 EUR plus shipping, but I bought a new WACOM tablet on EBay, so I
don't think I'll fix my old serial tablet.
