In Linux How do extend a display virtually?

Hi,

My intention is, extend a monitor which is connected in network (that second
PC is either Windows or Linux). In second PC have a small application,
receive the data (RGB/JPEG) and show in window. If I implement like VNC for
this, second person have possible to see total desktop of first (actual) PC
but I don’t want that, if able to do like extend monitor then I can show
some windows which I want.



How do send instructions to Linux for extend a display?

How do collect/receive that extended display frame buffer data?
