To be on the paranoïd side. A few days ago, on Linux, AC_PROG_SED was
expanded by some earlier statement (I don't recall exactly) but it was
not on Solaris. There are different versions of automake and different
platforms and I can't be sure. To limit the expansion I use AC_REQUIRE,
so if it has already been expanded, it won't do it twice. It also has
the virtue of documenting which statements are used so one does not
suspect it might be missing in the module.
