Yes, I was really interested in doing it, and even took a break to read the
whole synaptics code. And albeit I couldn't make sense of some details of what
I read, the experience served me as a crash course on the subject matter.

Either way Patrick, please go on and write this code. I will keep myself quiet,
watching you at work; and if you ever feel some more eyes or even testing are
needed, feel free to include me in the Cc line of the emails you send to the
list.
