Hopefully ConsoleKit will actually save us all in a way that similar
projects have spectacularly failed to.  I assume its API will look
something like:
ck_is_this_device_for_us(struct ck_ctx *ck, const char *path);
and we can just ignore it if that returns false.  I'm sure reality will
be vastly more convoluted and awful, but you get the gist.

Failing that, I don't think this is an overly bad situation in the
interim, but it really needs to be pushed down to the DIX: have a global
session_id string or somesuch which can be set on the command line, else
seeded from the server layout in the XFree86 DDX.  If you want to
resubmit with that changed, I'd be happy to at least ack the patch.
