Which proves the point that purely puristic changes like this
shouldn't be made. I say puristic here, because nobody in their right
might would actually share the these .pc between architectures. You
use a seperate sandbox for that. Saving a few kB by sharing a few
header files and these .pc files simply isn't worth the pain of having
to make sure things are kept in sync.
We really need to keep churn like that to the minimum.
