Again, given that DRI2 swapping is actually done inside the X server, it
seems like offering these same semantics on the 2D side will not
increase the driver implementation effort at all. In any case, all that
I need today is an option that asks for Render operations to avoid
tearing; perhaps that is sufficient for most 2D applications needs?
