a few clients that may break by doing so. we've already broken some with the
xextproto, so we simply need to decide if we want to do so again.
the number of clients that include recordstr.h is probably quite small, so
I'm all up for it. but then again, I don't really care enough either way.

fwiw, I don't think recordproto will see a lot of changes other than
packaging in the future, it's disabled in the server (currently broken) and
hasn't had an protocol bump for ages.
