Query About Xlib Library

Dear all,
  
   I am developing Indian language input using Xlib Library 
   (few Xlib function calls). and have got some success till date.
 
  I am using X protocol version 11.

  Will my Software work on latest version of X.

  is there any effect on Xlib ?

 If there is effect what I have to do to port my software to New Version of X
