Hi all, This is my first time using this, or any, mailing list but it looked like the thing to do so here goes. I'm experimenting with Xdmx and I've been having some problems. I can get the basic setup to work fine across my desktop (64-bit Ubuntu running an X session with IceWM) and my laptop (32-bit processor running Xubuntu from a flash drive) with a joint X session with xinerama and IceWM as a window manager. The problem is that I can't run certain programs and some programs crash the X session (at least that's what I think is happening). Input on Laptop: $ + xhost DesktopIP Input code on Desktop: $ + xhost Desktop IP $ startx `which icewm` -- /usr/bin/x11/xdmx :1 -display DesktopIP:0 -display LaptopIP:0 -input DesktopIP:0 -ignorebadfontpaths +xinerama After getting a successful Xdmx session I tried to launch a Win7 virtual machine which crashed it. I've attached the terminal output at a txt. I understand that this might have something to do with QT apps but that puts me way out of my depth. My end goal here is to run Windows 7 as a virtual machine with each of two virtual displays on the two nodes simulating a single windows session across multiple machines. Running VirtualBox just crashes it automatically but VMware Player runs fine and I can even run MacPup as a VM, but if I try to start Win7 it crashes. Please let me know if there are log files that would help or any other information I can give. --Eric
