Hi,

On Sun, Feb 6, 2011 at 10:08 AM, Rick Stockton <rickstockton@reno-computerhelp.com> wrote:

Which mouse would you guys recommend I buy- for the purpose of testing my patches for "support of more buttons" in Qt and KDE?
price limit around $100. WIRED is OK (and expected; few "gamer" come wireless).

I already have tilt-wheel plus two thumb buttons (Including the scroll events, that's Button1 through Button9). So obviously, I'm looking for at least a few more than this
I need those "buttons" em to come into Kernel, evdev, and X11 as genuine Button events-- not as "mystery meat" to be interpreted and translated into keystrokes by some Windoze program.

I'm not an expert in this by any means, but I have a logitech mx revolution (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Logitech_MX_Revolution) which has a lot of buttons, and "hyper scrolling". This might be a good place to start?

Thanks in advance.
