Hi

I want to port Xfbdev Xserver to ARM 11 DTV board . i have some
issues as below

Issue 1: i am able to get only 24 bit data RGB data (eventhough
depth is set as 32 bit) & unable to receive alpha value, hence my graphics
screen creates hole . if i add some patches in bitblt.c (dst* | 0xff000000)
for ARGB data & make it opaque everything seems to be fine. As
i need transparency set by client applications kindly let me know the
proper solution which can work wiothout patches.

Issue 2: For running OpenGL applications using mesalib GLX support (DRI
is not suitable due to some hardware issues) while GLXgears or any opengl sample
application, background drawing seems to be ok but vertex drawing shows black
screen. i have upgraded mesalib with latest version but problem remains same.
Kindly let me know solution . i read somewhere regarding bug in
mesalib.

Issue3: performance of Xserver booting time, drawing latency
etc seems to be very high , can somebody help me regarding optimization points
to make performance better. i read about shared memory transport created by
SGI or HP as i understand performance issue is due to its client server architecture
( MIT -SHM is already added for images). Kindly help
me out to provide good optimization points in a DTV standalone system. current
transport used is unix domain sockets but performance is not acceptable.

I am newbie & i need to prove TinyX capablility on ARM11 DTV hardware
in this sprint & have very less time. i hope to get some useful suggestions
. Thanks to all in advance. Pls let me know if i need to post my query
in any other list.

Best Regards
