If you have dual monitors you must use twinview to get composit working (don't ask me why becaue this seems like a very dumb rule to me and I have yet to see an explanation that makes sense to me for why this is required). Unfortuneately using twinview introduces other problems that may or may not matter to you. I have used KDE4 composit on my dual monitor setup with a GT7950 card using twinview although I normally run Xinerama on my machine. I am hoping that at some point soon I can start using the Nouveau driver (please let it be sooner rather than later) so that I can stop putting up with this nonsense.</p>
