Finally, i was able to run everything successfully for ATI Radeon 1650 using 1.5.99.1 though there is still some problem in
compilation under xdemos as it is not including XDamage. Perhaps i am missing something..

The text rendering problem went away once the DRM is turned on. I am not sure how it is related. But i don't see
the problem anymore.

thanks
mohan

On Thu, Jun 26, 2008 at 3:41 PM, Mohan Parthasarathy <suruti94@gmail.com> wrote:
somehow the DRM module built from the mesa branch refuses to load (Cannot Allocate memory). Any one know why ?

Also, the 1.5.99.1 text rendering on my xterm is bad : When i type say "pwd", the bottom part of "p" is not visible.
But once pwd prints the result, "pwd" looks fine. If the result has any "p" "g" (anything hanging down), the bottom
part is not visible. Bottom part of the letter is not visible in quite a few places. I know the release is not supported.
I don't want to file bugs unnecessarily.. let me know if i am missing something..

Yeah, I'm working on that right now in fact. I had forgotten about
Donnie's branch and did it by hand, but I'll re-check with his stuff to
make sure I got everything.
