Hi all,

I have a 2 year old Sony Vaio SZ1XP with a double graphics card configuration, nvidia and intel.

Recently, xrandr is failing to recognize the external screen using the intel configuration, but one can
make it work by wiggling the plug a bit. This doesn't seem to happen with the nvidia configuration,
although the socket is obviously the same.

Is there any reason why this should happen with one card and not the other? Can one card send a
stronger signal than the other through the same physical socket?

The intel drivers are great, although because the two screens are bigger than 2048 in width, I cannot
get DRI to work. So add another user who would benefit from that feature to the list :-)

Cheers,

Albert.
