Hello,
I'm new at list, I'm really interested in new changes to the new version of xorg, I'm waiting for the new release with candles!

now the question...

I've got a lenovo 3000 v100, the second screen works a little bit different than other graphic cards (Display controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS/940GML Express Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03)), in the windows driver, the controling of the display is used by software (the program that installs the windows driver), in linux if I want to use the second screen I have to reboot with the second screen plugged in, and then the first screen don't works.

then the button to change the screen modes give me that in dmesg
[44928.656000] atkbd.c: Unknown key pressed (translated set 2, code 0x8b on isa0060/serio0).
[44928.656000] atkbd.c: Use 'setkeycodes e00b <keycode>' to make it known.
[44928.968000] atkbd.c: Unknown key released (translated set 2, code 0x8b on isa0060/serio0).
[44928.968000] atkbd.c: Use 'setkeycodes e00b <keycode>' to make it known.

I'm on debian etch.

I wish that this problem will be solved in next release, and when you plug the second screen xorg detects it automatically, I wish the next version don't have to configure the x.org file, I read that it disappears?

good job :)

Blackhold
