Hi all,

I'll try to give some feedback on Ati Rage 128 graphic card:

01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Rage 128 PF/PRO AGP 4x TMDS

- One regression:

I have noticed when using kernels from
2.6.16 to 2.6.20 with xorg-x11-7.1 and mesa 6.5 to mesa 6.5.1 , with this kernel setup:
CONFIG_AGP_INTEL=y , CONFIG_DRM=y, CONFIG_DRM_R128=y , I used to get about 460 fps in glxgears.
With xorg-x11-7.2 and mesa-6.5.2
with git-sources-2.6.21-rc3 kernel I get about 320fps. Can someone else confirm?

- Suspend to RAM and resume when DRI is enabled:

I have read at http://dri.freedesktop.org/wiki/ATIRage128
it is not implemented, yet. Is anyone working on this? My home desktop machine resume fine after suspend to ram only if DRI is disabled in /etc/X11/xorg.conf using s2ram utility with "s2ram -f -a 1 -s" combination. Should I file a bug report for this at
bugzilla.kernel.org and link it to http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7216 meta bug?

- Freezes

If I build r128 as kernel module or use "DRM Kernel Modules for X11" Gentoo package (x11-drm) I got freezes - that means after I start glxgears it freezes, I can still hear the music that is playing in the background but keyboard and mouse are dead. After hard reboot I see some messages in log and I think this is the same as in
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=5562 report and #1 comment.
If I include it (r128) into the kernel, DRI works. Can confirm for 2.6.19 and later.
This affects Fedora Linux Core 6 and Ubuntu 6.10 and also their most recent test versions ( FC7test2 and Feisty Herd 5) either during LiveCD boot or after installation (in which vesa driver was used).

- Desktop effects with this card

Is anyone working on adding AIGLX support for this card. It can't support desktop effects at the moment as stated here: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/RenderingProject/aiglx
