Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this: when I enable mergedfb, I cannot change to a text mode vt. If I do, when I go back to X, it crashes, restarts, and then from that point on going to a text vt makes the backlight turn out and I can't get back to a usable display any more. I've tried the 1.6.5 driver and Alan H's debug driver with the exact same results. What can I do to investigate this further? I cannot suspend or hibernate because of this.
