Hi! I am new to this list, and searching dit not come up with anything about this topic, but I hope I am not repeating a common question. Is it currently possible to stretch a desktop acros multiple computers running X? I am currently using synergy " <a href="http://synergy2.sourceforge.net/">http://synergy2.sourceforge.net/</a>" between my laptop and my desktop, and while this integrates mouse, keyboard and clipboard between the machines it does not turn them into one effective desktop. If this is possible how is it done, and if not, how big a task would it be to implement it? I am a fairly profficient programmer and after the modularization of <a href="http://x.org">x.org</a>, it generally does not seem quite as daunting a project to start hacking away at. So if it is not a multi year task I might be willing to try as time permits. For reference, I am the author of <a href="https://sourceforge.net/projects/mouse-gestures/">https://sourceforge.net/projects/mouse-gestures/</a> which at the moment is my main free-time coding project.
