Hi all,

I am a debian user. I recently bought a LCD display, which I intended to use as an external display for my laptop (HP NC4000 with IGP 340M). I've read some articles about dual-head set-up on the web. The problem is that it works flawlessly on XFree86 in debian testing, but not on
X.org in debian testing. X.org complains that it "Failed to detect secondary monitor, MergedFB/Clone mode disabled". Here is a part of the output of diff between
xorg.log and XFree86.log (diff Xorg.log.0 XFree86.log.0):

23c534,536
< (II) RADEON(0): EDID data from the display on port 1 ----------------------
---
> (II) RADEON(0): Displays Detected: Monitor1--Type 2, Monitor2--Type 1
