Xinerama + Composite

Hello,

is it right that Xinerama + Composite still is known to be broken, like bug 471 says (http://bugs.opencompositing.org/show_bug.cgi?id=471)?
If it is correct where can I find more information about this problem?

My special problem is that compiz always segfaults when starting. This reasons therefore seems to be the Xinerama extension in combination with multiple (nvidia) GPUs and > 2 Monitors.
