git commit messages

As mentioned on irc, you might not want to combine the commits when a
branch is pushed to the main server, it can get messy.

Below is the script that the Linux kernel developers use to send patches
out to their lists.  It also doesn't send merge messages, which you do
not want to do either (those can be a mess...)
