aixgl on radeon

Tried out latest aixgl (xorg-x11-server-Xair-1.0.0.0.20060207-5) on a
radeon mobility M7 LW (7500) w 16MB memory. 

It works in 16bit mode, but some apps just display a white area
(evolution, gnome-panel), some rendering is just wrong (root window
image, notification bubble from am-applet), and some crashes after a
while (firefox).

On vt change or when killing the x server, the whole machine freezes and
has to be hard reset. 

In 24 bit mode the server crashes as soon as metacity is started.

Are these known problems or should I post log files?
