Shift+Backspace = server exit?

I asked about this yesterday on #freedesktop, but nobody had any ideas.
I searched around in the tree, and I found nothing useful. Here's my
situation:

I have two systems that were loaded with XFree86 4.3.x based X-servers.
One was Fedora Core 1 and the other was SuSE 9.1. I built X.org on
each of them from CVS and installed. When I did that, two, probably
related, things started happening. First, the X-server terminates with
Shift+Backspace in addition to the usual Ctrl+Alt+Backspace.
Additionally, Ctrl+Alt+Fn# no longer switches to another VT.
"DontVTSwitch" is not set if my xorg.conf.

Both of these "features" are driving my nuts! Several times a day I
will accidentally hit Shift+Backspace while editing driver code. I'm
just really, really glad my text editor automatically saves for me every
couple seconds. I'd probably have smashed something by now if it didn't. ;)

Suggestions?
