<P><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">I'm not understanding why old style function declaration syntax [e.g.</FONT> <FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Simsun">int check_dec();</FONT><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">] supercedes new style function declaration syntax [e.g.</FONT> <FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Simsun">int check_dec(long, long, char*);</FONT><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">] in some cases.</FONT></P>
<P><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">At least,</FONT> <FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Simsun">XtTestProto.h</FONT><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial"> on Linux has this issue, resulting in 3 Xt cases fail on x86-64 due to the implicit type.</FONT>
