It sounds like it may be un-related to the graphics driver. (Sorry, had some trouble logging in) I honestly do not know, but I don't think that is the case. As I wrote, there are no such problems with proprietary drivers. Also, it managed to freeze 3x now, but only for about 10-20 seconds and dmesg is empty - last log is from two hours ago. I believe it happens more often when I am watching video, but also happens otherwise.
