Yes, it seems so.
Not sure how to set it permanently with systemd and lightdm.
Anyway, I stopped lightdm, and started X manually with both this var set and
not set. Without this env var, the nouveau driver crashes (after playing for a
while with the combo box). With this env set, it stopped happening.</pre>
