<p style="-qt-paragraph-type:empty; margin-top:0px; margin-bottom:0px; margin-left:0px; margin-right:0px; -qt-block-indent:0; text-indent:0px; -qt-user-state:0;"><br></p>I've recently filled a bug report at kde's bugzilla - https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=187775 . Today I've found out that the problem really is most probably caused by the radeon driver I use.<br>
<p style="-qt-paragraph-type:empty; margin-top:0px; margin-bottom:0px; margin-left:0px; margin-right:0px; -qt-block-indent:0; text-indent:0px; -qt-user-state:0;"><br></p>I've installed ubuntu jaunty (upgraded from hardy+recent radeon build), and this is more-or-less the last problem I have to fix to get a (more-or-less) bugfree desktop :)<br>
<p style="-qt-paragraph-type:empty; margin-top:0px; margin-bottom:0px; margin-left:0px; margin-right:0px; -qt-block-indent:0; text-indent:0px; -qt-user-state:0;"><br></p>I have discovered that when using EXA (doesn't matter, if KDE's composite manager is on or off), some widgets' backgrounds aren't properly cleared. Using XAA (again, with composite on or off) there are no problems at all. Well, there is one - composite+XAA is just too slow to be used, so I'm in stoneage (=without composite stuff) right now :)<br>
<p style="-qt-paragraph-type:empty; margin-top:0px; margin-bottom:0px; margin-left:0px; margin-right:0px; -qt-block-indent:0; text-indent:0px; -qt-user-state:0;"><br></p>Could some of you guys help me to find the problem? I guess I could compile the radeon driver by myself, if it was needed - and probably also fix some code (as I'm programmer myself, although I never fixed a device driver :-)), if I received some hints where I should look for the possible problem spots...<br>
<p style="-qt-paragraph-type:empty; margin-top:0px; margin-bottom:0px; margin-left:0px; margin-right:0px; -qt-block-indent:0; text-indent:0px; -qt-user-state:0;"><br></p>Oh, the problem probably only occurs with qt apps (using qt4.5 now), didn't see it in gimp nor firefox (which are probably all gtk apps I use :) ).<br>
<p style="-qt-paragraph-type:empty; margin-top:0px; margin-bottom:0px; margin-left:0px; margin-right:0px; -qt-block-indent:0; text-indent:0px; -qt-user-state:0;"><br></p><p style="-qt-paragraph-type:empty; margin-top:0px; margin-bottom:0px; margin-left:0px; margin-right:0px; -qt-block-indent:0; text-indent:0px; -qt-user-state:0;"><br></p>Thanks in advance,<br>
