Summary: OpenGL vsync no longer working properly
           Product: xorg
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: x86-64 (AMD64)
        OS/Version: Linux (All)
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Driver/Radeon
        AssignedTo: xorg-driver-ati at lists.x.org
        ReportedBy: pierre-bugzilla at ossman.eu
         QAContact: xorg-team at lists.x.org

I've upgraded my system from fedora 12 to fedora 13 and now xbmc is no longer
able to sync the OpenGL output to vblank.

The components before the upgrade was:

Xorg: 1.7.6-4.fc12
DDX: 6.13.0-0.21.20100219gite68d3a389.fc12
DRM: fdb33d56de3edf27f24c6db0e6beaed823f7bc38
Mesa: 833acea8f6bcbed8b477eb1a1d897127afb0e73e

After upgrade:

Xorg: 1.8.0-12.fc13.x86_64
DDX: 6.13.0-1.fc13.x86_64
DRM: fdb33d56de3edf27f24c6db0e6beaed823f7bc38
Mesa: 833acea8f6bcbed8b477eb1a1d897127afb0e73e

With this combo I get a generally working system, but xbmc shows tearing and
does not get its frame rate limited to the refresh rate.

Using DRM and Mesa from the system:

DRM: 2.4.20-1.fc13.x86_64
Mesa: 7.8.1-6.fc13.x86_64

the situation gets much, much worse. Not only is the system not vblank syncing,
but it seems like buffer swaps are completely gone as the display is flickering
like crazy with the different layers taking turn being visible.
