Since it's an embedded board, I suspect the i2c lines used for DDC are not
connected to anything or they use some hardcoded mapping rather than what is
specified in the bios tables which is what causes DDC to fail resulting in the
driver not being able to detect any attached monitors.  On newer xservers you
can force the monitors on by adding the relevent sync ranges and modelines to
the monitor sections and setting the enable option in the monitor sections,
e.g., Option "Enable" True"
