That would be fine for a clean test between Radeon and Catalyst, but the first link has benchmarks of old releases of radeon that are way better than the current stable one....There are many regressions that haven't been addressed.

There are performance improvements and there will be more as time goes by, but
the majority of them is and will be disabled with old kernels and DDX drivers.
