RENDER and Qt interaction problem

Hello,

since I didn't get any reply of my bug report since last October [1] I just 
wanted to ask if any work is going on? The problem is that the work on a KDE 
SC 4 system with this bug is going to be impossible. Besides to the texture 
artifacts also the reloading of editor windows (like kate, kdevelop, kile) 
screws up. This results in a page scrolling with only partly updated lines in 
view. 
Hence, if I delete/edit one line in an window with outdated view, I work on 
the wrong lines an destroy my code... Thus since months I needed to switched 
to vim.
So I would really appreciate if anybody could tell me how to fix this problem. 
Of course I would be happy to test patches ;)
