I just recently got a Mobility FireGL V5700 (Mobilitiy Radeon HD 3650) and I
have the same problem with the DisplayPort output. Well, DisplayPort -> HDMI to
be exact.

It really is a shame, as this forces me to choose between good picture (and
laptop speakers) or good sound (and VGA video).
