dmesg with KMS

This is an old problem, and I have discussed with Alex (on IRC?) a long time
ago, then everything was fine for a long time, but has gotten worse again.

Sometimes when X is started, the screen is fuzzy with things smeared out
(rapidly moving shadows) horizontally. I believe it is the PLL timing that is
wrong. But most of the times it starts up fine. When it is wrong, I can switch
to a console and back and it will be fine again. However, sometimes I have seen
this on the console afterwards.

With KMS, this happens when the radeon module is loaded and the console goes
high resolution. In this case console switching does not help, so I have to run
turn the screen off and on again with xrandr.

Hardware: Acer TravelMate 8101 with X700 Mobility.
