           Summary: [regression] screen corruption while loading X
           Product: xorg
           Version: git
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Driver/Radeon
        AssignedTo: xorg-driver-ati at lists.x.org
        ReportedBy: fabio.ped at libero.it
         QAContact: xorg-team at lists.x.org

I noticed that recently I get a screen corruption during X startup. While
loading X the screen should be black, but I also get some strange horizontal
mostly green lines extending from the left to the right, for about a second:

--------------------
|                  |
|==================|  <- green screen corruption
|==================|  <-
|                  |
|                  |
|                  |
--------------------

I did a git bisect and identified in commit
346228b20c69a965c9e7d67157f42c1d36a5b6c3 the appearing of the problem.

I have a MacBook Pro, RV530 and I am using Ubuntu 8.04 with its default xserver
1.4-based and manually compiled -ati from git.
